Moisture and Thermal Insulation

U-Values as low as 0.12 W/m²K can be achieved cost effectively for all roof shapes using individual BEMO roof structures. 

BEMO roof systems are individually designed to meet the needs of the building.

Depending on the type of insulation package, BEMO roof systems can achieve thermal transmission values as low as 0.12 W/m²K.

The materials used in the substructure are an important factor in thermal insulation. They should have very low thermal transmission values.  Frequently used materials such as aluminium with min. 160 W/(m²K) and steel with 50 W/(m²K) have very high thermal transmission values and should be kept to the absolute minimum in construction. In order to achieve the optimum result we use a substructure with very low thermal transmission values.

Our GFK halters with a thermal transmission value of 0.35 W/(m²K) create almost no heat bridges.  This has very little detrimental effect on the function of the insulation layer.

In the case of very high thermal insulation requirements, we recommend roof structures with the largest possible percentage of soft insulation in conjunction with non-thermally conductive BEMO GFK halters.

Managing the risk of condensation is an important issue for every building and should always be carefully considered.
