Lausanne – Conference Centre
The new conference center of ETH in Lausanne (EPFL) is deemed to be unique Europe-wide due to it‘s „ultramodern infrastrucuture“. Designed by the architecture office „Richter Dahl Rocha & Associés architectes SA“ it is the last major step for the university Campus of EHT Lausanne.
The conference center can accommodate meetings and conferences organized by the EPFL and the University of Lausanne. The bracket roof and the complete glazed façade provide maximum flexibility for the interior fittings. The floors and the swivel armchairs can be removed, so the individual rooms can be varied in size and shape. This system offers the construction of a banquet hall which covers an area of 2,300 m².
For this unique project BEMO created the planning for the metal roof. Besides the planning BEMO delivered the complete roof system with thermal bridge free GFK thermal halter. The roof is covered with BEMO standing seam profile N50-333 stucco embossed aluminium. A total of 4,900 m² straight and 900 m² conical standing seam profiles have been produced on site and installed.
The estimated end of this project is the end of October 2013.
